LAST TIME, ON DEGRASSI...Lakehurst honed in on Degrassi's turf, and pissed Toby Psyduck off. Liberty had a poodle hairdo, and told Tobes to chill the fuck out. We met Sav, Jane, and Holly J. Sav invited everyone snowboarding, Jane was basically ignored, and Holly J disrupted lunch. Darcy and Peter fought about going public, and then finally told his mom, who loves that Darcy is chaste. Yeah, and here I am... the most inconsistent Degrassi recap site on the PLANET!! I make NO promises for consistency this time, as I am embarrassed for my past failed attempts. However, now I've got the weekday free with just two days of school, so hopefully I can waste a ton of pointless time here. You know, if I want to. BUT ANYWAY, REGARDING DEGRASSI. It's not a hidden opinion of mine that I think Season 6 of Degrassi was pretty much shit, and on par with like... Season 1 badness. Without the added "aww, they're just babies!" effect that you get when you see Spinner with about 40 extra pounds jiggling around, and Emma's baby hamster face. So, it's probably not a surprise that I struggled for the first time with a waning Degrassi fandom in my life. It was a rough time emotionally, but I got through it. And the reward for my perseverance in fandom is... SEASON SEVEN!!! Glorious Season 7. Oh, I could just kiss you. Your A plots are recycled, and your B plots... well, have Marco, but I love you just the same! Now the badness is not just badness... it's DEGRASSI LEVEL. The level of shit that I can tear apart with my hands and thoroughly enjoy and revel in. (Not that I typically do that, with literal shit.) So now, here I am, weeks into the new season, and I've decided to let Degrossip live again. I will likely never catch up, but, I've come to terms with my procrastination in all things, and general ADD with all projects in life. You should too. I begin... at the beginning. A very good place to start. ( Standing in the Dark, Part 1 (part one)- Welcome to our Unimpressive New Characters! )Tags: 701, season 7, standing in the dark Current Mood: accomplished

I'm just gonna go on the record and let everyone know that I'm so sick of the title of this episode that it's not even funny. I'm sick of writing it in question form, I'm sick of contracting "what" and "does" together, and I'm sick of the whole grammar and longness of it in general. That being said, it is NOT "What it feels like to be a ghost" or even "what it feels like for a girl." That's an entirely different song. This song is by Taking Back Sunday. Which you will find, applies. Also, you know, Craig is a ghost of his former self... blah blah blah writerness. I just wanna say that I'm equally excited and scared to recap this episode. It's been my favorite episode of the season, and one of my favorite episodes ever, so far. It just really blew me away with how spot-on everything was, and how they took such a big "issue" but made it seem so incredibly natural to happen. Sometimes it just seems like they pick an issue out of a hat and assign it to a character that hasnt had one in a while (Toby's eating disorder), or the character you would least expect it from (JT and Liberty's pregnancy.) So, with the utmost love for this episode... I must now pick it apart and mock it. Hello, everyone! Well, it's probably no surprise that I got a little behind schedule on updating this. And by "a little," I mean... half the season. I thought that maybe, in Degrassi's mid-year absence, I could get a good portion of the season done, and idealy, get up to date. But now, on the eve of the Return of Degrassi, it's obvious that isnt anywhere near happening, since I only got one episode done. So, instead of trudging through episodes that are now old news to us all, I'm gonna ride the fame of Craig straight on through the new year. I will skip up until What's it Feel Like to Be a Ghost? which premieres on CTV tonight, and try to keep up with the rest of the season. When I get time, the beginning of season 6 will get treated like the rest of the retro-episodes and be filled in supplimentally. At some point, I will organize them into a chronological list. As of now, I'm unsure of how to do the retro-episodes. Should I go back and tackle them by season, and if so, should I work backwards or start at the horrific start? Or should I shuffle them up and do whatever I so please, at any given time? Or take requests? Please let me know what you think. Season 6 will be completed first, and then I'll put into action whatever is decided about seasons 1-5, during the hiatus. Bye 'til later, and spanks for reading! Tags: mod
